Commercial Management Workshops

SURCO Training modules are designed to improve the commercial and contractual knowledge and workplace skills of construction professionals working in the civil engineering industry.

Modules are listed under four categories, 'core', 'follow on', 'optional' and 'advanced'. The distinction has been made on a topic or essential competency basis and does not imply levels of complexity. It is now common practice to train 'early career' construction and commercial staff in the same skills and many of the 'core' modules are common to bespoke training schemes focused at immediate post graduate or equivalent levels of knowledge and experience. 'Follow on' modules are designed for commercial staff and are tutored at 'post chartership' levels although they can be used to augment the skills of other members of the construction team.
